Lake Las Vegas Gives $20,000 to Local Non-Profits
As a part of its ongoing commitment to support community organizations, Lake Las Vegas recently gave $20,000 to Cure 4 The Kids Foundation, the Ogden Family FoundationFriends for Las Vegas Police K9 and the Henderson Community Foundation K9 Division

The donations were made as a part of the community’s Lake Las Vegas Days celebration, which was presented by Henderson Hyundai. The weekend featured dozens of activities including Pulte Pet Parade and Viva La Paw Pet Fair, Wine & Food Fest, live concerts and a fireworks display, among others.

“Supporting vital community organizations like these has always been an important part of the fabric of our community,” said Cody Winterton, executive vice president of Raintree Investment Corp., Lake Las Vegas’ managers.

Cure 4 The Kids Foundation and the Ogden Family Foundation both serve children in Southern Nevada. Cure 4 The Kids Foundation operates the only outpatient clinic in Nevada that provides specialized medical treatment to children affected by childhood cancer as well as many other life-threatening conditions, including rare and ultra-rare diseases, genetic conditions, sickle cell disease, rheumatology and bleeding disorders.  The Ogden Family Foundation, founded by football Hall of Famer Jonathan Ogden and his wife Kema in 2008, offers services including athletic and academic mentoring, health workshops and life-skills programs to help the homeless, foster and at-risk youth and underserved families in Southern Nevada.

Friends for Las Vegas Police K9 works to improve the performance of the K9 unit and maintain a high quality of life for the active and retired police service dogs. The Henderson Community Foundation‘s K9 division partners with the Henderson Police Department K9 program in raising funds for protective equipment, training supplies and general equipment for police dogs  to enhance public safety.

Lake Las Vegas is a Henderson master plan with hundreds of new home options, golf, dining, shopping, water sports and award winning hotels.
