Chef Robert Irvine, Vivi and the Giving Society have been instrumental in the fight against hunger and raising awareness of the one in seven Southern Nevadans who don’t always know where their next meal is coming from.

Chef Robert Irvine’s support contributed to the success of Three Square’s Las Vegas Restaurant Week (June 19-30) and community-wide food drive Fill the Plate (held Sept. 1-30). With the help of community members and local businesses, the food and funds collected during Restaurant Week and Fill the Plate provided an additional 755,331 meals to food-insecure residents.

Vivi’s love for Three Square began when she was just five years old when she came to the organization with her parents to volunteer. And, although Vivi was too young to volunteer herself, she wanted to raise money so hungry children could “eat and eat and eat.” With her mom’s help, Vivi made a short video asking family and friends to help and raised $250, providing 750 meals to Las Vegans in need.

The Giving Society consists of donors who provide $1,500 or more every year in addition to volunteering their time, resources and professional expertise to support Three Square.
