The Showbiz Roast of Zowie Bowie (Chris Phillips) is First in a Series Featuring Las Vegas Entertainers

On April 23, 2013, a dozen or more local celebrity Roasters will take to the stage at the Stratosphere Theater to celebrate, tease and lovingly poke fun at Zowie Bowie’s own Chris Phillips and their fellow Roasters. 

The Roastmaster for the evening will be Four Queens headliner, comedy-magician Mike Hammer.

The show will feature musical roasts backed by a live band, surprise guests and with an on-stage bar fueling the ferocity, hysterical fun will ensue, all with a tongue-in-cheek affection for fellow Showbiz pals.

Admission is free on a first-come, first-served basis.  A celebrity Red Carpet will take place at 10pm with pre-show mingling st 10.30pm and the ShowBiz Roast around 11pm. An after-party will immediately follow the show.

The Showbiz Roasts will bring the show business community of Las Vegas together in a social setting to experience the camaraderie rarely enjoyed since the golden era of the Rat Pack.

ZOWIE BOWIE ( Chris Phillips ) has become one of the most well-known acts in Las Vegas. Brining a unique blend of today’s hottest dance, hip-hop, top 40 and vintage Las Vegas music to audiences every week.  Winner of the 2013 readers choice for best lounge performer and tribute show.  Friday, April 5 marks the 7-year anniversary of Zowie Bowie’s residency at the Red Rock Casino.

The event is being produced by AWE Andy Walmsley Entertainment.  Emmy award-winning Andy Walmsley has production designed some of the biggest shows on Television: American Idol, So You Think You Can Dance, America’s Got Talent, Who Wants to be a Millionaire and The Biggest Loser to name a few. In Las Vegas, Andy has designed Terry Fator, Human Nature, Divas, Nathan Burton, Jeff Civillico, America’s Got Talent Live and many more.
