Mix 94.1 and X107.5 present Imagine Dragons record release party Friday, March 2 at Hard Rock Cafe on the Strip.
Local indie pop-rockers Imagine Dragons return to Las Vegas to celebrate the release of their new EP Continued Silence, on Interscope Records. This high-energy quartet is full of raw emotion and variety that fans have come to know and love. With humble beginnings, Imagine Dragons, got their first taste of success by entering and winning four back-to-back battles of the bands.
The band first entered the studio in 2009 to record their first self-titled EP followed by Hell and Silence, both which were released in 2010. Receiving attention across the U.S. from industry professionals and fans alike, their loyal fan base began to grow. The band was soon playing festivals including SXSW Music Festival, Neon Reverb Festival, New Noise Music Festival and more. In autumn of 2010 the band was back in the studio, this time locally, recording their independently released third EP, It’s Time. The band played extensively throughout Las Vegas, further developing their sound and continuing to grow their fan base. Imagine Dragons spent the following year playing festivals internationally, nationally and locally. From Bergenfest in Norway to the Sunset Strip Music Festival in Los Angeles and even to the local Bite of Las Vegas Festival, this has been and continues to be one busy band.
A true testament to staying true to their sound and continued hard work, Imagine Dragons, got the sweet deal every band dreams of when they signed to major label, Interscope Records, in November of 2011. Since signing with Interscope the band relocated to Southern California to be close to Grammy winning producer Alex Da Kid’s studio, whom they have been working closely with. The band still has a close connection with Sin City as they return for the highly anticipated release of their first major label EP to celebrate and party with fans in the city that helped make them.
