Mystic Roots Band (MRB), known for its original style of reggae, hip-hop and dance music with overtones of rock, funk and ska, will perform live on the Mandalay Bay Beach stage Saturday, May 30. The concert is scheduled to begin at 9:30 p.m.
This California-based group embraces the nature of roots reggae wholeheartedly and performs it confidently. MRB has developed an ever-growing legion of loyal fans and the list of bands they have shared the stage with reads like a “who’s who” of reggae music. They include The Wailers, Pato Banton, Gregory Isaacs, Jimmy Cliff, Jurassic 5, Long Beach Dub All Stars, Sir Mix-a-Lot, Ozomatli and Digital Underground. Fans describe MRB’s style as a unique combination of No Doubt, Sublime, The Police, Sean Paul, The Fugees and Cypress Hill, along with the spirit and consciousness of Bob Marley and Spearhead. This diverse sound enables MRB to continually produce dynamic, cutting-edge songs to which fans are immediately drawn. When attending an MRB concert fans are guaranteed more than just ‘music for their ears,’ but instead a high-energy and powerful experience.
