Multi-platinum rock powerhouse Nickelback has announced dates for its North American summer tour in support of its most recent album Dark Horse. The summer leg of the 2009 tour will stop in Las Vegas and perform at the MGM Grand Garden Arena Sunday, Sept. 6. The concert is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. with special guests Hinder, Papa Roach and Saving Abel.
Nickelback is a phenomenally successful band that has sold more than 30 million albums worldwide and whose tours have grossed in excess of $100 million. The band is currently on a 32-city tour, selling out arenas across the country. The Nashville Scene said of the kick-off show on February 25, “…nobody puts on a better show than Nickelback does. You can believe that.”
Dark Horse, the band’s 2008 platinum release, is the band’s first since the immensely popular All The Right Reasons, released in 2005. The latest single from Dark Horse, “If Today Was Your Last Day,” was released on March 24 and the brazen rocker single “Something In Your Mouth” is currently the No. 1 rock song in the country.
