Margaritaville and Flamingo Announce Plans to Open “Margaritaville Casino at the Flamingo” Fall 2011

June 7, 2011 by

Margaritaville and The Flamingo Las Vegas are bringing to the city a gaming experience unlike anything else with the opening this Fall of the “Margaritaville Casino at the Flamingo”, a new and exciting gaming space. This is the first casino gaming space to bear the well-known and respected Margaritaville name. Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville restaurant has been a dynamic addition to the Las Vegas Strip experience since its 2004 opening at the famed center Strip resort.

At the “Margaritaville Casino at the Flamingo”, guests will feel the energy of the Las Vegas Strip while enjoying the laid-back vibe of the islands. Adjoining the restaurant and directly accessible from the Strip sidewalk, the “Margaritaville Casino at the Flamingo” will include 15,000-square-feet and offer 22 gaming tables, 220 slot machines and the centerpiece 5 O’Clock Somewhere Bar.

The “Margaritaville Casino at the Flamingo” gaming activities will operate under the Flamingo’s gaming license. They will be a perfect complement to Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville restaurant, currently one of the most popular spots on the Las Vegas Strip and one of the busiest in the United States. Visitors, residents, Parrotheads and anyone who has ever dreamed of escaping to the tropics and sipping a margarita will enjoy being immersed in the total Margaritaville experience.

“Building on the many years of success the Flamingo resort and Margaritaville restaurant have had together, we are looking forward to expanding the guest experience with the new ’Margaritaville Casino at the Flamingo’,” said Rick Mazer, Regional President of five Caesars Entertainment resort destinations in Las Vegas. “With this new addition, visitors from around the world will have the opportunity to continue the fun and enjoy the escapist life style evoked by Jimmy Buffett’s music.”

About Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville
The atmosphere is inspired by the lyrics and lifestyle of Jimmy Buffett, whose evocative songs inspire a cross-generational yearning for an island adventure. Comprised of retail shops, restaurants, consumer products, hotels and even a national radio station on Sirius/XM, Margaritaville delivers a tropical experience where guests can enjoy the sights, sounds and tastes of their favorite destination regardless of their current latitude.

Since launching its first location in Key West, Margaritaville has expanded to some of the most popular U.S. destinations, including: New Orleans, Orlando, Las Vegas, Myrtle Beach, Panama City Beach, Glendale, Mohegan Sun Casino, Nashville and Jimmy Buffett’s at The Beachcomber in Honolulu, Hawaii. International locations can be found in Jamaica, Mexico, Grand Turk, Grand Cayman, the Republic of Panama and Canada. The Margaritaville Beach Hotel in Pensacola Beach, Florida opened July 2010. Coming soon are locations in San Juan, Puerto Rico and Chicago’s Navy Pier. Visit for more information.
