XS, the sophisticated nightclub at Encore at Wynn Las Vegas, will present an all-star line-up of the world’s most renowned DJs to rock the turntables for a non-stop party over Memorial Day Weekend, including the highly anticipated return of electronic phenomenon Deadmau5.
The Memorial Day Weekend line-up includes the following:
Friday, May 27: A-Trak has been a driving force since Kanye West recruited him as his personal tour DJ in 2004, performing alongside the rapper at MTV specials, the Grammy Awards, multiple MTV Video Music Awards, and worldwide stadium shows. He is known for merging the sounds of rap and electronic music through his remix work, his production for Kid Sister and Lupe Fiasco, and his remixes for electronic artists including MSTRKRFT and Boys Noize. The hit single by Kid Cudi, Day ‘n’ Night, was released on an EP by A-Trak’s label Fool’s Gold. 2009 saw the release of two critically acclaimed DJ mixes, Infinity +1 and Fabriclive 45, as well as the birth of Duck Sauce, his collaboration with Armand Van Helden. The duo’s radio smash “aNYway” cemented itself as the dance anthem of the year, A-Trak’s first true chart-topper with two videos in international rotation and across-the-board support from Pete Tong to Busy P, David Guetta to 2manydjs.
Saturday, May 28: The holiday weekend continues with the always popular Saturday night party at XS. Clubgoers will dance under the stars near the glistening Encore pool deck while a special secret guest performer takes over the music for the evening.
Sunday, May 29: Electronic phenomenon Deadmau5 returns off the wildly successful two year anniversary party at XS to bring his overwhelming popularity to the Sunday evening party. Deadmau5 has been a rising star in the electronic genre over the past three years, and his reputation exploded worldwide after playing the MTV Video Music Awards in September. Recognized by his famous mouse headpiece, Deadmau5’s shows are always unique as he assembles tracks on the fly, using cutting edge computer technology, including software he’s helped write himself.
Monday, May 30: Resident DJ Afrojack closes the holiday weekend spinning at the Memorial Day bash Monday evening. His rise to fame as a producer has brought him a roll call of A-list champions – from Pete Tong to David Guetta, and Josh Wink to Fedde Le Grand, collaborating along the way with some of the world’s most respected producers and artists like Steve Aoki, Diplo, Kid Cudi, Pitbull and Black Eyed Peas. Fresh off his Grammy win for his remix with David Guetta of Madonna’s hit Revolver, Afrojack has escalated to international fame while calling the DJ booth at XS home to his Las Vegas residency.
With its chic vibe and fashionable reputation, XS remains the place to see and be seen for celebrities, glitterati, locals and tourists alike. Table reservations are highly recommended (XS: 702-770-0097). XS is open Friday through Monday from 10 p.m. to 4 a.m., located on The Esplanade at Encore.
