Actress, singer and entertainer Susan Anton is set to wow crowds once again with her guest starring role as “The Soap Star” in Menopause The Musical at Luxor Hotel and Casino. Anton will take the stage nightly from Friday, Dec. 3 through Friday, Jan. 14.
Anton is best known for her starring role in the 1979 film “Goldengirl,” her 1980 Billboard Top 100 hit single “Killin’ Time,” and as the host for more than 5,000 Las Vegas shows of the “Great Radio City Music Hall Spectacular.” A passionate performer, Anton has received wide acclaim for her musical talent and will bring the heat and hilarity to the musical comedy’s stage.
Since 2001, Menopause The Musical has amused and inspired audiences globally.
The entertaining show has launched a women’s movement that has superseded entertainment, empowered its audiences and become a must-see event. Consisting of parodies from the classic songs of the ‘60s, ‘70s and ‘80s, the show is filled with optimism, connection and laughter. It had its modest debut on March 28, 2001 in a converted perfume shop in downtown Orlando, Fla. After nine years with productions from Toronto to Texas as well as Off-Broadway to Australia, the curtain rises with consistent success. Voted “Best Production Show” this year, Menopause The Musical is one of the longest running shows, celebrating its sixth year in Las Vegas this coming February. In a city where there are a multitude of shows daily, the Las Vegas Review-Journal declared, “Dollar for dollar, it’s the best show in town.”
