About Mötley Crüe
Heavy metal group Mötley Crüe rose to fame in the ’80s and have since sold more than 40 million records worldwide. In 1981, the band self-produced and released the album Too Fast for Love, drawing the attention of Elektra Records. Their 1983 debut album on that label, Shout at the Devil, was a multi-platinum hit that was just the beginning for the band that instigated a glam metal movement. Throughout the ’80s, Mötley Crüe released three more multi-platinum albums including Girls, Girls, Girls with the hit single of the same name as well as Dr. Feelgood in 1989, which turned out to be the band’s largest success.

By the time the ’90s hit, Mötley Crüe was a full-blown stadium act, performing for sold out crowds worldwide. In the early ’90s, lead singer Vince Neil left the band to pursue a solo career and rejoined them in 1997, where the band released Generation Swine, which debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard charts. Mötley Crüe was at it again and released its gold-selling Greatest Hits album the following the year. Hot on the success of the two albums, the band underwent some changes its main players, eventually breaking up.

In 2004, Mötley Crüe announced a reunion tour with all four original members – Vince Neil, Tommy Lee, Nikki Sixx and Mick Mars. They have since held two successful runs of Crüe Fest 1 and 2, and released more albums, including the platinum-selling Red, White and Crüe.

About Poison
Poison got its start in the mid- ’80s by singer Bret Michaels, bassist Bobby Dall and drummer Rikki Rockett with guitarist C.C. Deville later joining the group. Within two years of forming, the band signed with Enigma Records and released its first album that same year. Look What the Cat Dragged, sold 2 million copies and produced three Top 10 hits, “I Want Action,” “I Won’t Forget You” and “Talk Dirty to Me.”

Subsequent hit songs of Poison’s, include “Fallen Angel,” “Nothin’ But a Good Time” and “Every Rose Has Its Thorn.” Following a prosperous tour with David Lee Roth, the band came back and created two more albums, including platinum-selling Flesh and Blood, which includes the Top 5 songs “Unskinny Bop” and “Something to Believe In.” Shortly thereafter, the band began having internal issues, resulting in the firing of Deville. He was INSERT d twice before rejoining the group and having a reunion summer tour in 1999.

Known for their stage antics, Poison’s commercial success continues to be a major impact on the music industry thanks to catchy lyrics and guitar riffs. The band received a renewed surge of popularity when Deville joined the “Surreal Life” cast and Michaels began his journey to find his “Rock of Love” and win “The Celebrity Apprentice” – making the band a household name once again.

Now celebrating its 25th anniversary, Poison is getting ready to release Double Dose of Poison: Ultimate Hits, a career-spanning, two-CD and digital collection set for release on May 3, 2011.
