The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas Celebrates Grand Opening with New Year’s Eve Performances by Coldplay and JAY-Z

The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas will celebrate its world premiere by ringing in the New Year with a multi-day celebration featuring solo and mash-up New Year’s Eve headline performances by Grammy award-winning artists Coldplay and JAY-Z.

The collaboration, officially called Viva La Hov featuring Coldplay and JAY-Z, is illustrative of the resort’s spirited approach to creating a unique luxury experience. Revelers on The Strip will also share in the excitement as the once-in-a-lifetime performances are broadcast live on the resort’s 65 foot digital marquee overlooking Las Vegas Boulevard.

The exclusive three-day, invitation-only New Year’s Eve event, beginning December 30, will be designed in conjunction with celebrity event planner Colin Cowie whose clientele includes the likes of Oprah Winfrey, John Travolta, Jennifer Lopez and Jennifer Aniston.

In addition to the New Year’s Eve performances, the weekend’s highlights will include a surprise guest performance on The Boulevard pool deck, the debut of The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas’ restaurant collection and much more that will be announced in the coming months.
