The Venetian and The Palazzo Las Vegas Launch New Social Rewards Program

The Venetian Resort-Hotel-Casino and The Palazzo Las Vegas Resort have launched The Venetian | The Palazzo Social Rewards, a social media loyalty program that awards followers of The Venetian and The Palazzo for engaging in social media activity on Twitter.

“Social media has evolved into one of the strongest forms of online advertising as well as one of the most important ways The Venetian and The Palazzo connects with their guests,” said Lori Kobashigawa, director of Internet marketing for Las Vegas Sands Corp. “It was only a matter of time before someone developed a way to say ‘thank you’ to those social media users who are dedicated to our brand. Social Rewards is helping us thank them for their loyalty.”

The program monitors and tracks tweets, and provides the user with points to be redeemed towards goods and services at the resorts. In addition to accumulating points towards free suite stays at The Venetian and The Palazzo, guests can earn a variety of rewards towards goods and services at the resorts, including free dessert at Wolfgang Puck restaurants CUT and Postrio Bar and Grill, guest list and free admission to TAO and LAVO Nightclubs and free drinks from Lagasse’s Stadium.

The Venetian and The Palazzo have been at the forefront of social networking, actively utilizing mediums such as Facebook, Twitter, digg and FourSquare to create brand awareness and build relationships with emerging markets. Social mediums such as Facebook and Twitter have already been used to actively participate in The Venetian and The Palazzo guest experience – the properties utilize the social networking tools to listen to their customers’ concerns and interests.
