Las Vegas Motor Speedway will host the second Speedway Children’s Charities Track Walk of 2010 on Saturday, Sept. 25 at 2 p.m. as part of the Smith’s 350 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series event.
Fans will have the opportunity to walk the 1.5-mile superspeedway to raise money for the Las Vegas Chapter of Speedway Children’s Charities prior to the start of the Smith’s 350.
Pre-registration for the Track Walk is open online or by mail. Fans are encouraged to register in advance to save $10. Cost for pre-registration is $25 per person and the day-of-event entry fee is $35 per person.
All Track Walk participants will receive a free ticket to the Smith’s 350 as well as a t-shirt. The Track Walk will benefit Speedway Children’s Charities, the Boy Scouts of America and the YMCA of Southern Nevada.
Making a difference in a child’s life is the focus of Speedway Children’s Charities. SCC strives to do this in collaboration with the non-profit organizations it supports nationwide. Individually, SCC’s local chapters identify the needs of children in their communities and award grants to organizations that address them. Last December, the Las Vegas Chapter of Speedway Children’s Charities granted $275,000 to 78 local children’s causes during its annual grant distribution ceremony.
