The Backstreet Boys, one of the most successful groups in pop music history, will kick-off the holiday weekend at Mandalay Bay Beach Friday, July 2 at 9 p.m. Tickets are priced at $45, inclusive of tax and fees. For reservations call the Mandalay Bay box office at (702) 632-7580.

The wildly successful pop band released its first U.S. album in 1997, the self-titled Backstreet Boys, and it quickly took over the music charts with singles such as ‘Everybody (Backstreet’s Back)’ and ‘As Long As You Love Me.’ In 1999, they released ‘I Want It That Way,’ the first single from its follow-up album Millennium, and it topped the charts in multiple countries including the United States, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Norway and New Zealand. Over the next decade, the group released four more albums including a greatest hits album, The Hits: Chapter One, which was certified platinum. In October 2009, the Backstreet Boys released its latest album This Is Us, where the quartet had the opportunity to collaborate with artists such as Ne-Yo, T-Pain and fellow Mandalay Bay Beach performers Pitbull and OneRepublic’s Ryan Tedder.

American Idol Season 8 runner-up Adam Lambert and his Glam Nation tour will entertain the Mandalay Bay Beach crowd Saturday, July 31 at 9 p.m. Tickets are priced at $40, inclusive of tax and fees. For reservations call the Mandalay Bay box office at (702) 632-7580.

Lambert caught the nation’s attention when he competed as a contestant on Season 8 of the hit show American Idol. Although the flamboyant performer finished second, he found much immediate success in the pop music world after releasing his debut solo album For Your Entertainment. His single ‘Whataya Want from Me’ reached the Top 10 on the Billboard 100 and continues to play on radio stations worldwide. Lambert recently returned to American Idol as a guest mentor’a first for a past contestant. He is currently traveling the country with Australian singer-songwriter Orianthi on a 40-city tour.

Musician, poet and composer Michael Franti brings his band, Michael Franti & Spearhead, to the Mandalay Bay Beach stage Saturday, Aug. 21. Tickets are priced at $42, inclusive of tax and fees. For reservations call the Mandalay Bay box office at (702) 632-7580.

The Bay Area-born Franti always has dared to say big things through his exceptionally powerful and deeply felt music. He has performed a wide range of genres for more than 20 years which has included a range from the intense punk rock of the Beatnigs to his joyful and meaningful modern soul music with Spearhead. Franti also has released an impressive series of recordings including his latest album All Rebel Rockers. The album is not only the highest Billboard Top 200 Album Chart debut of Franti’s career, but it has remained on the chart longer than any of his previous releases. In 2009, the smash hit ‘Say Hey (I Love You)’ was certified platinum.
