The House is a Rockin’ at Station Casinos in January

Station Casinos continues to entertain locals with a number of new weekly acts and shows at several of its properties in addition to its trademark bands that the city has grown to love. 

New shows include Rock Tribute Series at Santa Fe Station and Texas Station, performing classic hits from rocks bands from the ’60s and ’70s and Latin Night with Noche Nortena at Boulder Station featuring the best in regional Mexican music. Also at Green Valley Ranch, Sin City Sinners will take over Ovation on a regular basis beginning Jan. 24. Meanwhile, bands like Zowie Bowie and Yellow Brick Road continue to rock the night away at several of the Station Casinos properties.  Most shows are free or will be noted below if they have a minimal cover charge. Coming this month are:

Green Valley Ranch

Every Sunday:

  • Ovation – Zowie Bowie harkens the days of the Rat Pack with its new Sinatra inspired show at 6 p.m. Guests must be 21 years and older.

Every Tuesday

  • Quinn’s Irish Pub – Trivia night from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. Guests must be 21 years and older.
  • Hank’s Fine Steaks & Martinis – Michael Grimm on piano from 6:30 p.m. to 11 p.m.

Every Wednesday:

  • Ovation – Yellow Brick Road (YBR), the Las Vegas-based classic rock tribute band, takes the stage at 9 p.m. Unlike most tribute bands that generally pay homage to one artist only, YBR takes on the entire classic rock/pop spectrum. This show will be dark on Jan. 7 for a private event.  

Every Thursday:

  • Hank’s Fine Steaks & Martinis – Michael Grimm on piano from 6:30 p.m. to 11 p.m.

Every Friday:

  • Ovation – The Michael Grimm Band from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Grimm performs his personal blend of music where a country boy melds soul and rock accompanied by his 12-piece band. The band will not perform on Jan. 9 as headline concert band Chris Young perform that night inside Ovation.  
  • Ovation – Steel Panther from 11 p.m. to 2 a.m., this ’80s glam metal parody band, demonstrates their spirit and love of everything rock ‘n’ roll with their colorful repartee, loud costumes and graphic body language. Guests must be 21 years and older.
  • Quinn’s Irish Pub – Darby O’Gill & The Little People take the stage from 10 p.m. to 1 a.m. Guests must be 21 years and older.
  • Hank’s Fine Steaks & Martinis – Peter Love on piano from 6:30 p.m. to midnight.

Every Saturday:

  • Ovation – The Michael Grimm Band from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Grimm performs his personal blend of music where a country boy melds soul and rock accompanied by his 12-piece band. The band will not perform on Jan. 10, and The Nite Kings will fill in its place. They will not perform again on Jan.17 as Ovation will host a UFC viewing party for the Franklin vs. Henderson fight and again on Jan. 31 for the Couture vs. Belfort fight . Both are at 7 p.m. and feature a $10 cover that includes the first drink.
  • Ovation – Glam Rock Saturdays with doors at 10 p.m. and featuring tribute artists of hair bands on a rotating schedule. The January schedule features: Pyromania tribute to Def Leppard on Jan. 10, Poison tribute band Unskinny Bop on Jan. 17. Beginning Jan. 24, Sin City Sinners will perform as Ovation’s regular Saturday night show. Guests must be 21 years and older.
  • Quinn’s Irish Pub – Darby O’Gill & The Little People take the stage from 10 p.m. to 1 a.m. Guests must be 21 years and older.
  • Hank’s Fine Steaks & Martinis – Peter Love on piano from 6:30 p.m. to midnight.

 

Santa Fe Station

Every Sunday:

  • Chrome Showroom – Sunday Night Football with doors at 9 a.m. On Jan. 18, door time has yet to be announced and there will be no game on Jan. 25.

Every Friday:

  • Chrome Showroom: Rock Tribute Series featuring tribute band of fames rock artists on a rotating schedule with doors at 9 p.m. The January schedule features:, Caress of Steel tribute to Rush on Jan. 9, True 2 Crue tribute to Mötley Crüe on Jan. 16, Unskinny Bop tribute to Poison on Jan. 23 and Rattle & Hum tribute to U2 on Jan. 30. This show is 21 years and older.
  • 4949 Lounge – Enjoy the sweet taste of hookah by Vegas Hookah from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m.

Every Saturday:

  • Chrome Showroom – On Jan. 31, Chrome Showroom will host a UFC viewing party for the St. Pierre vs. Penn 2 fight at 5:30 p.m. This features a $10 cover that includes the first drink.
  • Chrome Showroom – Doors open at 10:30 p.m. for Purple Reign, the hottest Prince tribute show in town. This show is 21 years and older and has a $5 cover charge.
  • 4949 Lounge – Enjoy the sweet taste of hookah by Vegas Hookah from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. DJ Toast lights up the room on Jan. 17.

 

Red Rock Resort

Every Sunday:

  • Lucky Bar – DJ Creative spins music from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. Guests must be 21 years and older.

Every Tuesday

  • Rocks Lounge – Jerry Tiffe brings back the days of swing from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., bringing folks out of their seats and onto the dance floor.

Every Thursday:

  • Rocks Lounge – ENVY takes over with doors at 9 p.m., bringing the hottest contemporary hits and Hip Hop to the stage. On Jan. 8, ENVY will have a special extended performance with doors at 7 p.m. Guests must be 21 years and older.
  • Lucky Bar – DJ Creative spins music from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. Guests must be 21 years and older.

Every Friday:

  • Rocks Lounge – Zowie Bowie performing the hottest covers of current dance hits and the best of disco, rock, hip-hop and R&B with doors opening at 10 p.m. and the show begins at 11 p.m. Guests must be 21 years and older.
  • Lucky Bar – DJ Tony T spins from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m. Guests must be 21 years and older.

Every Saturday:

Texas Station

Every Friday:

  • A-Bar – Darrin Michaels plays jazz from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m.
  • South Padre – Texas Blues Series from 9 p.m. to midnight featuring some of the country’s best blues musicians on a rotating schedule. The January schedule features: Eric Sardinas on Jan. 9, John Lee Hooker, Jr. on Jan. 16, Walter Trout on Jan. 23 and Rod Piazza & the Mighty Flyers on Jan. 30. Guests must be 21 years and older.

Every Saturday:

  • A-Bar – Darrin Michaels plays jazz from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m.
  • South Padre – The Boogie Knights gets patrons to “Shake your groove thing” with doors at 9 p.m. Leading up to the show and between sets, DJ Dynamixx spins crowd pleasing beats through 1 a.m. This show is 21 years and older and has a $5 cover charge.

 

Boulder Station

Every Sunday:

  • The Railhead – Latin Night with Noche Nortena featuring Banda Tierra Sagrada, delivering the best in regional Mexican music with doors at 8:30 p.m. The music flows leading up to the show and between sets with a DJ spinning the best Latin tunes until 2 a.m. This show is 21 years and older and has a $5 cover charge.

Every Thursday:

  • The Railhead – Jerry Tiffe brings back the days of swing from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., bringing folks out of their seats and onto the dance floor.
  • The Railhead – Boulder Blues from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. featuring some of the country’s best blues musicians on a rotating schedule. The January schedule features: Eric Sardinas on Jan. 8, John Lee Hooker, Jr. on Jan. 15, Walter Trout on Jan. 22 and Rod Piazza & the Mighty Flyers on Jan. 29. Guests must be 21 years and older.
  • Kixx Bar – More & Gendel perform from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m., bringing the best in vocal and guitar stylings.  Guests must be 21 years and older.

Every Friday:

  • The Railhead – Yellow Brick Road (YBR) performs from 11 p.m. to 2 a.m. This Las Vegas-based classic rock tribute band takes on the entire classic rock/pop spectrum with an emphasis on details and inflections. Guests must be 21 years and older.
  • Kixx Bar – Shooting Stars Karaoke is held from 6 p.m. to 2 a.m. where guests rule the stage. Guests must be 21 years and older.

Every Saturday:

  • The Railhead – On Jan. 17, The Railhead will host a UFC Viewing Party for the Franklin vs. Henderson fight and again on Jan. 31 for the Couture vs. Belfort fight. Both will be held from 6 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. and feature a $10 cover that includes the first drink.
  • The Railhead – A rotating Rock Tribute Series with doors at 10 p.m. The January schedule features: Mr. Crowley tribute to Ozzy Osbourne on Jan. 10, Dust N’ Bones tribute to Guns N’ Roses on Jan. 17, Just Like Priest tribute to Judas Priest on Jan. 24 and Aeromyth tribute to Aerosmith on Jan. 31. Guests must be 21 years and older.
  • Kixx Bar – Van De Guzman plays the best hits of yesterday and today from 7 p.m. to midnight with uncanny vocals and keyboard skills. Guests must be 21 years and older.

 

Aliante Station

Every Wednesday:

  • Access Showroom – Jerry Tiffe brings back the days of swing from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., bringing folks out of their seats and onto the dance floor. This show is free for those with a Boarding Pass.

Every Friday:

  • ETA Lounge – A live DJ spins music from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m.

Every Saturday:

  • Access Showroom – Yellow Brick Road (YBR) performs with doors opening at 10 p.m. This Las Vegas-based classic rock tribute band takes on the entire classic rock/pop spectrum with an emphasis on details and inflections. This show is 21 years and older.
  • E.T.A. Lounge – A live DJ spins music from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m.

 

Palace Station

Every Tuesday:

  • Bonkerz Comedy Club showroom – Beginning Jan. 13, tuxedo-clad Jerry Tiffe Band brings back classic swing music from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Every Thursday:

  • Jack’s Pub – Asian Karaoke from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. where the guests dominate the stage. On Jan. 22, Third Town, 2008 “Nashville Star” finalists, performs in place of karaoke. Guests must be 21 years and older.

Every Friday:

  • Jack’s Pub –Nuff Said returns at 9 p.m. playing the best in classic and country rock on Jan. 9. Beginning Jan. 16, Third Town, former 2008 “Nashville Star” finalists perform their southern rock and country originals from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. Guests must be 21 years and older.

Every Saturday:

  • Jack’s Pub – Nuff Said returns at 9 p.m. playing the best in classic and country rock on Jan. 10. Beginning Jan. 17, Third Town, former 2008 “Nashville Star” finalists perform their southern rock and country originals from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. Guests must be 21 years and older.

 

Fiesta Rancho

Every Sunday:

  • Cabo Lounge – Sunday Night Football at 1 p.m.

Every Thursday:

  • Cabo Lounge – Wild Country Nights from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. with artists on a rotating schedule. The January schedule features: SRO on Jan. 22, Wolf Creek Country Band on Jan. 8 and Randy Anderson on Jan. 15 on Jan. 29. Guests must be 21 years and older.

Every Friday:

  • Cabo Lounge – Wild Country Nights from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. with artists on a rotating schedule. The January schedule features: Evenflow on Jan. 9 and Jan. 23 and Randy Anderson Band on Jan.16 and Jan. 30. Guests must be 21 years and older.
  • Club Tequila – Fiesta Salsero with doors opening at 9 p.m., featuring the best in Latin music and dancing, complete with dance lessons. This show is 21 years and older and has a $5 cover charge.

Every Saturday:

  • Cabo Lounge – Wild Country Nights from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. with artists on a rotating schedule. The January schedule features: former 2008 “Nashville Star” finalists Third Town on Jan. 24, Evenflow on Jan. 10 and Randy Anderson on Jan. 17 and Jan. 31. Guests must be 21 years and older.

All shows are free of charge unless otherwise specified. Entry to the shows are first-come, first-served and based upon venue capacity.
