Local real estate developer Dapper Companies is offering aspiring business owners a chance to win their own dining establishment in Downtown Las Vegas.

The company is encouraging chefs and restaurateurs to enter The Great Las Vegas Coffeeshop Giveaway contest to win their very own coffee shop, diner, or deli in the historic Huntridge Shopping Center on Charleston Blvd.

The winner will receive a brand new 3,000-square-foot custom-designed restaurant fully built out with furniture, fixtures and equipment, branding, signage, and marketing plan, making it ready to open for business. The estimate to build out and brand the endeavor is more than $950,000 in goods and services.

“We know how hard it’s been for restaurateurs these past couple of years and wanted to find a way to give back to the hospitality community that makes our city thrive,” said owner J Dapper in a press release. “I miss having a gathering place in the Huntridge neighborhood where everyone can sit and relax and have great food. We want to bring that back to the neighborhood and hope to find someone who has a great concept who just needs the help in putting it all together.”

Dapper, along with guest chefs and restaurant owners Cory Harwell (Carson Kitchen, Butcher & Thief), John Simmons (Firefly, Tacos & Beer, Graze) and Marc Marrone (Nice Hospitality — Graffiti Bao, skinnyFATS), will help judge presentations from chefs and restaurateurs who wish to present their concept. Presentations should consist of a discussion of the vision, details about the entrant’s background, possible menu ideas, and past experience.

Details and instructions on what the presentations should entail and how to enter can be found at lasvegascoffeeshopcontest.com.

Qualified entrants will be invited to present their restaurant concepts and corresponding business plans to the judging panel with three finalists to be selected to prepare and present selections from their proposed menus.

Initial presentations are due Feb.1, 2022, with finalists announced Feb. 15. A winner will be chosen on April 5.

The winning restaurant will be designed, built, furnished, and equipped with goods and services from incredibly dedicated partners who are the tops in their industry. T

Besides Dapper Companies, contest partners include YESCO, Hydro Studios, AAA Restaurant Supply, Meadows Bank, RAD Studio, National Technology Associates, Ava Rose Agency, Design Concepts, and The Humblewood Company, with more coming on board according to the company.
