Las Vegas to honor lives lost to COVID-19, Jan. 19

The city of Las Vegas will join communities around the nation Tuesday, Jan. 19, to remember and honor the lives lost to COVID-19.

In response to the Presidential Inauguration Committee’s invitation to illuminate buildings at 5:30 p.m. EST/ 2:30 p.m. PST, Las Vegas City Hall, the gateway arches on Las Vegas Boulevard and festoon lights on Main Street will be lit a light amber color. Buildings and facilities across the nation will be illuminated in the same color. 

Residents can participate in the memorial by lighting candles in their windows for the countrywide time of remembrance.
