LVMPD Foundation and IKEA Furnish Home for Local Grandmother

On Monday, December 21, the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD) Foundation and IKEA USA delivered much needed household furnishings and supplies to the third home of the three deserving families impacted by COVID-19.

“Our community is facing unprecedented challenges, we recognize the role we can play in helping families during this difficult time. At IKEA, we are guided by a simple, yet powerful vision of creating a better every day life for the many. This is especially important during the holidays.” Said Christina Hilborn, IKEA’s Las Vegas Loyalty Manager.

The LVMPD Foundation received a community grant from IKEA, and with this grant they provided home furnishing makeovers to the three local families nominated.

In addition, the Foundation furthers its commitment to community engagement programs, having already made over $140,000 in such investments this holiday season.

LVMPD Foundation and IKEA representatives worked together this morning at the family’s home when the delivery truck arrived with the new furniture, household supplies and toys.

The third family is a local grandmother in the process of seeking custody of her two young grandchildren.
