A key tool for planning for winter fun is now available. The City of Henderson’s activity and information guide, Henderson Happenings, can be viewed online at cityofhenderson.com.
Registration – online, mail-in and in-person – for most activities begins at 6:00 a.m. on Dec. 15. A household account, which can be created online, must be established before signing up for most classes, workshops and events that require registration. New accounts can take up to three days before they are accessed.
Published three times each year, Henderson Happenings is the complete listing for events, sports, arts, outdoor recreation, concerts, lessons, memberships, rentals, and more for all ages, as well as a valuable source for information on City services.
This issue features Henderson’s new Lifeguard Arena, practice home for Henderson Silver Knights and a venue for expansion of community recreational programs and special events including watch parties, adult and youth league games, concerts, and skate and hockey programs.
Winter recreation programming begins in January and continues through March.
Events of note in the winter guide include:
- Healthy Henderson Fair and Lighten Up Henderson Weight-Loss
Challenge Kickoff, Jan. 8
- NEW! Heart & Soul Gala, Feb. 5
- Bark in the Park, Feb. 27
- NEW! Battle of the Bands, March 27
Face coverings and social distancing are required when attending a City of Henderson event, activity or program. The schedule may change based on State of Nevada restrictions.
To remain fiscally responsible, flexible and responsive to the needs of the community during the COVID-19 pandemic, the winter 2021 issue of Henderson Happenings will be available in a digital format only.
