La Strega is launching a fast casual limited engagement concept featuring Roman-style Piadinas, Salads, Snacks and more. Guests can enjoy Chef Gina Marinelli’s provisional menu for takeout or curbside pickup as a direct response to the rapidly evolving COVID-19 pandemic.
“The idea behind this was to create a brand within a brand,” said Gina Marinelli, Executive Chef of Las Strega. “I wanted to create a secret sandwich shop featuring Piadinas, which are traditional Italian flatbreads from Rome. We use our pizza dough baked to perfection in our pizza oven, and then we throw them on the grill so that they hold and travel well.”
Standout items on the limited menu include a Smoked Salmon Piadina ($12) made with locally smoked salmon, marinated cucumbers and pickled shallots, a Tri-Color Sciaini Salad ($12) made with salami, mozzarella, and a pesto vinaigrette, House-Made Parmesan Chips ($3) and a Piccola Aperol Spritz made with Blood Orange Pellegrino that is canned in-house ($10).
La Strega is located at 3555 S Town Center Dr Ste 105, Las Vegas, NV 89135. The Piadina menu is available Tuesday through Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., and can be ordered in advance for curbside pickup or takeout by calling 702-722-2099. The restaurant is adapting to a reservation-only dine-in model for dinner, with seatings available Tuesday through Saturday from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., and Sunday from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
