Magicians Steve Dacri and Stoil to Perform at The Hilton Feb. 24

February 23, 2010 by

Experience the world’s greatest magicians as they amaze and amuse you in the intimate Shimmer Showroom at the Las Vegas Hilton.

Headlining the show on February 24 will be close-up magic expert Steve Dacri.  Steve’s opening act will be Stoil, who began learning magic as a child in Bulgaria and went on to become an internationally known magician.

Both performers are recipients of the coveted Merlin Magic Award and both perform regularly at the Magic Castle in Hollywood, so you know this will be a great show!

Steve Dacri
Regarded as the top up-close magician in the world, Steve Dacri amazes audiences with a wave of his hand. While other magicians use extravagant sets and huge props to supplement their acts, Dacri relies on his refined talent at sleight-of-hand magic.

He starts with a mystifying card trick, and asks for audience participation. All eyes are on Dacri’s fast hands as he makes cards, handkerchiefs, balls of all sizes, casino chips and other objects appear, disappear, and reappear from nowhere. Each new trick is a mental and visual mind-blower.

Dacri tells brief highlights of the history of close-up magic, describing a trick that his own teacher, Dai Vernon, taught him. A magician known around the world among the inner circle of magicians for his extraordinary sleight of hand skills, Vernon was the only magician ever to fool the great Harry Houdini.

Then Dacri amazes the audience by performing that very same trick. Along with unique in-your-face magic, he blends his own brand of clever, comedic influence into the show. When the audience isn’t sitting mouth-open in amazement they are chuckling at his humorous interaction with the crowd.

The Magic of Stoil
Stoil began learning magic as a young child in Sofia, Bulgaria.  He found a Russian magic book at a swap meet and soon began building his own illusions. Stoil perfected his sleight-of-hand and stage magic skills and by age 20 was an accomplished performer who had won numerous national and international awards.

Stoil came to American in 1998 with his wife Ekaterina after performing on cruise ships and in theaters throughout Europe and Asia.  Stoil performs solo magic shows and often teams up with his wife, a former ballerina, to perform magic and quick-change effects.

A winner of Merlin Magic Award, Stoil performs at the Magic Castle in Hollywood on a regular basis.
