Thousands of fans packed The Chelsea to spend the final hours of 2019 with TIME’s Entertainer of the Year, Lizzo. Throughout the performance, Lizzo spread messages of self-love between the chart-topping medleys that launched her into worldwide fame, including “Juice,” “Good as Hell” and “Truth Hurts.” Before she left the stage, Lizzo urged fans to leave “negativity in 2019 and walk into 2020 prosperous.” She closed her weekend at the resort, where she indulged in Hattie B’s, dined at Beauty & Essex, and performed at Marquee Nightclub on Dec. 30. She toasted to the new decade with friends, celebrating all that is in store for the New Year ahead.
Other celebrations at The Cosmopolitan included Veuve Clicquot’s exclusive 1920’s Prohibition-themed party at The Ice Rink, where guests enjoyed roof-top cocktails, live entertainment, and unparalleled views of The Strip’s glittering midnight fireworks display. All three levels of the iconic Chandelier bar were lined with guests enjoying craft cocktails and a live DJ while Heavy Petting Zoo performed at The Saloon, the hidden speakeasy inside The Barbershop Cuts & Cocktails. The resort’s CliQue Bar & Lounge, located at the heart of the casino floor, was the center point to all of The Cosmopolitan’s NYE celebrations.
The frenzy of New Year’s Eve leads into The Cosmopolitan’s entertainment lineup for 2020 with performances by The Black Keys (Jan. 19), Dierks Bentley (Feb. 14-15), Dave Matthews Band (Feb. 28), Brantley Gilbert (March 28), LETTERKENNY LIVE! (April 18), NF (May 15) and AJR (June 12).
