American reggae and dub band Stick Figure, will ring in 2020 at Brooklyn Bowl Las Vegas with a New Year’s Eve performance on Tuesday, Dec. 31 at 8 p.m.
Stick Figure was founded in 2006 by front man Scott Woodruff. An intuitive and accomplished producer, Woodruff crafts authentic artistry from the foundation of roots-dub reggae, featuring cavernous grooves, sparkling electronic orchestration, and thick rhythms. His songs and sounds have evolved throughout time while staying true to his signature sound. World on Fire, Stick Figure’s most recent album, is undoubtedly the band’s best production to date. The attention to detail throughout the album’s almost 70 minutes creates a top-notch sonic experience.
Stick Figure has released seven albums, all of which having been written, recorded and produced solely by Woodruff. The current live band line-up features Kevin Bong (KBong) on keyboards, Kevin Offitzer on drums, bassist Tommy Suliman and Johnny Cosmic on guitar, keyboards, and backing vocals, with Scott upfront on guitar and vocals. Cocoa, an Australian Shepherd, often joins the band onstage, and has accordingly been nicknamed Cocoa the Tour Dog.
