According Nigro, the Residence Inn is the first of three new hotels to be completed in partnership with Marriott over the next 24 months.  “We are unique in that our hotel developments are all vertically integrated from development and construction through day-to-day operations. Our sister company, Unicorn Hospitality Group LLC, owned and operated in partnership with Bill Weatherford, a 30-year hotel veteran, is approved by Marriott as the hotel operations manager. This approach allows us to continue our commitment to developing premier assets while providing superior customer service,” added Nigro.

Nigro Development’s affiliate company, Nigro Construction, Inc., broke ground on the Residence Inn in mid-May 2018, and now, just over a year and more than 100 construction jobs later, the property is welcoming its first guests. The opening of the Residence Inn by Marriott also marks the final build out at The Place at Seven Hills, a 100,000-square-foot project developed and constructed by Nigro that includes Remedy’s Tavern, Bank of George, Starbucks, and a 133-room Hampton Inn & Suites.

“The pace and scope of development along the St. Rose Parkway corridor is simply incredible,” said Michael Nigro, president of Nigro Construction, Inc. “With the Raiders practice facility, the brand-new Costco, St. Rose Dominican hospital and surrounding medical offices, plus established and new residential development all in close proximity to this location, the timing is perfect to welcome corporate and leisure guests to this brand new, one-of-a-kind Residence Inn by Marriott.”
