Hundreds of domino enthusiasts and thousands of spectators from around the United States will gather this summer at the newly-renovated Palms Casino Resort for the Universal Domino League’s highly-anticipated Las Vegas Summer Classic domino tournament. Held Saturday, June 29 from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m., competitors will compete for more than $50,000 in cash and prizes, including a 2019 Harley Davidson FXDR 114 motorcycle, UDL Championship Belt and the prestigious title of “Universal Domino League Champion”.
The UDL’s Las Vegas Summer Classic will feature hundreds of dominoes players from around the world competing in head-to-head, action-packed, double-elimination rounds. Each match will be a best-of-three up to 150 points, with the last contestant standing named the “UDL Las Vegas Summer Classic Champion.” The championship match will be best-of-seven and will be streamed live on the UDL Network via YouTube, Twitch and Facebook Live. The final eight tables will be filmed by the World Poker Tour production team and director, Johnathan “JR” Reid of Seventh Tribe Inc.
In addition, the UDL’s Founder and President, Harold Moret, has formally offered to donate $1 million to the charity of choice to the winner of a best-of-five domino match between Former President Barack Obama and Former U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. If both parties agree, the match will take place following the Las Vegas Summer Classic Championship Match inside the Grand Ballroom at the Palms Casino Resort.
Las Vegas Summer Classic tournament registration is $200 per competitor in advance or $250 per competitor the day of the tournament. The top 16 players will receive a payout, with the grand prize winner receiving more than $40,000 in cash and prizes.
