El Dorado Cantina, an authentic non-GMO Mexican restaurant and bar close to the Las Vegas Strip has partnered with Avión Tequila to host a four-course tequila dinner at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 5.
Executive Chef Paco Cortes will offer guests four mouthwatering dishes, each paired with a specially crafted cocktail featuring Avión ultra-premium tequila made from a rare blue agave grown in higher elevations and take nearly a decade to mature. The food and cocktail menu will include:
First course –
- Mixed greens salad featuring carrots, beets, sweet pecans, cranberry and goat cheese and tossed in a dressing made with blueberries, honey and Avión Silver Tequila
o Paired with Agave Roja cocktail made with beet syrup, fresh lemon, ginger liqueur aquafaba and Avión Silver Tequila
Second course –
- Sautéed shrimp served over a bed of El Dorado’s famous cilantro rice and infused with Avión Reposado Tequila
o Paired with Mango Tango made with agave syrup, fresh lime juice, mango nectar, pineapple juice, Fever Tree tonic and Avión Reposado Tequila
Third course –
- Steak sirloin topped with a garlic chili rub, grilled peppers and onions and served on a bed of tender potatoes, chile pasilla sauce and Avión Anejo Tequila
o Paired with Negroni Jalisco made with roasted Poblano vermouth, Campari and Avión Anejo Tequila
Fourth course –
- Duo of dessert featuring espresso flan made with Avión Espresso Tequila and chocolate truffles made with Avión 44 Tequila
o Paired with a Café 44 or Café Maria and made with cold brew syrup, Angostura bitters and either Avión 44 or Avión Anejo
