Fergie Performs Live New Year’s Eve 2009 at The Venetian and The Palazzo in Las Vegas

November 26, 2008 by

The “London Bridge” will extend all the way to Italy this New Year’s Eve when chart-topping, three-time Grammy Award- winning artist, Fergie, performs live at The Venetian and The Palazzo in Las Vegas. With amazing vocals and energetic stage presence, Fergie will kick off the extravagant evening in The Venetian Ballroom with an exclusive performance of her popular hits including “Fergalicious,” “Glamorous” and “Clumsy.” Immediately following Fergie’s high energy performance, Skip Martin, Grammy Award-winning artist and former lead singer of Kool & the Gang, will entertain the audience with hit songs “Celebration,” “Ladies Night” and much more. The night wouldn’t be complete without a DJ ringing in the New Year and spinning classic hits for partygoers grooving on the dance floor.

“It’s going to be an amazing evening and we couldn’t be more excited to have Fergie perform live on New Year’s Eve,” stated Jason Gastwirth, corporate vice president for Las Vegas Sands Corp. “With a mixture of genres from pop and R&B to a DJ playing everyone’s favorite hits, our New Year’s Eve celebration will be a night to remember and one of the biggest parties of the year.”

After her set, Fergie will join the revelry at Vegas’ newest hot spot LAVO Restaurant and Nightclub in The Palazzo where she will MC the New Year countdown as the official host for the evening along with NYC’s DJ Reach. Tickets to LAVO are available for separate purchase at any Venetian or Palazzo Box Office.

Fergie hit the Hollywood scene when she was recruited into the very successful hip-hop group, The Black Eyed Peas. She took a solo turn in 2006 with her album, The Dutchess, which has so far earned her three United States Billboard Hot 100 number one singles and five Top 5 hits, making it only the seventh female album in pop history to capture five Top 5 hits. With a connection to Vegas through her fiancé Josh Duhamel, star of the popular television show Las Vegas, it is only appropriate that Fergie gets the New Year started at The Venetian and The Palazzo.

Joining the round-up of multi-talented artists is Grammy Award-winner Skip Martin – lead vocalist, trumpet player, songwriter, artist and producer. Having entertained millions of people around the world as lead vocalist for Kool & the Gang and The Dazz Band, Skip has a total of thirty-eight albums with many of them having gone Platinum & Gold.

The Venetian and The Palazzo’s New Year’s Eve celebration will be held in The Venetian Ballroom. Doors open at 8:30 p.m. and all cash bars will be featuring Perrier-Jouet Champagne. Ticket prices are: $135; $105; and $75 inclusive of tax and service fees and are on sale now. A limited number of VIP tickets are also available for purchase for $200 inclusive tax and fees. To purchase tickets visit any Venetian or Palazzo Box Office, call 1-866-641-SHOW or visit www.venetian.com or www.palazzolasvegas.com.
