Kids, ages 7-12, were asked to submit a video showing off their cooking skills by preparing an original dish and explaining why they want to be a chef. From all the submitted entries, 50 kids were selected to move on to the semi-finals where they prepared a second dish at select John’s locations throughout California. One finalist was chosen at each semi-final location. The three finalists will compete in the Championship round at the John’s in Las Vegas on Aug. 16.
