Lil Duval
, the “Guy Code” comedian, brings his standup comedy to House of Blues Las Vegas on Saturday, Aug. 25.

Hailing from Jacksonville, Florida, Roland Powell, aka Lil Duval, always had a knack for making people laugh. During school pep rallies and other activities, Duval embodied the entertainer spirit as he flourished in the limelight. Ultimately he envisioned himself on the big screen, drawing inspiration and motivation from the work of Chris Tucker. Like Tucker, Duval started his journey of success with standup comedy, first taking the stage In Atlanta’s Uptown Comedy Corner where he soon became a regular.

Duval’s exceptional performance at a 2001 comedy contest in Oakland caught the attention of Cedric the Entertainer’s camp and Lil Duval was invited to hit the road with Cedric and four other comedians. While on the road, Duval developed as an entertainer as he refined his signature routine “Stalker’s Anthem (Bitch U Mine)” and released two underground comedy DVDs Dat Boy Funny (2003) and Put Your Hands on Me (2005).

As a social media personality and as a comedian, Duval’s sense of originality and authenticity is what attracted more than 260,000 Twitter followers as well as the attention of rapper T.I. who signed Duval to his label Grand Hustle’s comedy roster. Currently, in addition to touring, Lil Duval is a featured regular on the MTV series “Guy Code”.
