Starting Monday, May 21, actor and comedian Eddie Griffin will headline a stand-up comedy residency titled, “The Eddie Griffin Experience,” inside The Sayers Club at SLS Las Vegas. Shows will run weekly, Monday through Wednesday, at 8 p.m.
Griffin’s career leaped from the stage to the screen with more than 50 movie and television credits to his name, including starring roles in the feature films “Undercover Brother” and “John Q,” as well as his own television series currently in syndication, “Malcolm & Eddie.” Griffin’s current Showtime special “Eddie Griffin: Undeniable,” reflects on his long-standing career and pays tribute to close friends and late comedians Charlie Murphy, Bernie Mac, Dick Gregory and Richard Pryor. His next feature film, “A Star is Born,” will be released this fall and stars Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper. Griffin has also been named one of the “100 Greatest Stand-Up Comedians of All Time” by Comedy Central.
The Eddie Griffin Experience will be dark on Tuesday, June 5; Wednesday, July 25; Wednesday, Sept. 12; Tuesday, Oct. 9; Monday, Oct. 15 – Wednesday, Oct. 17; and Monday, Nov. 12 – Wednesday, 14. Tickets are on sale now and start at $69, excluding tax and fees. Doors open at 7 p.m. for each of the 21+ shows.
