Tape Face
creator Sam Wills performs a hilarious show featuring visual humor, sketches and physical stunts with elements drawn from his past experiences with props, mimes, clowns, juggling and shock comedy (Photo credit: Gabe Ginsberg).

Back in the day, Wills performed a normal stand-up comedy routine. Then one day he tried a one-minute mime skit and one thing led to another, including a game-changing appearance on America’s Got Talent. Now he’s Tape Face with a residency deal at Harrah’s Las Vegas.

Tape Face’s props are stored in garbage bags stashed around the stage. He also carries a tote bag of props hanging from his shoulder. Tape Face performs at a frantic pace, producing props and doing insane things with them. There is audience participation in nearly every vignette. Some of his funniest routines involve multiple props and two or more audience members. Most are difficult to explain to someone who hasn’t seen the show. Try to picture this: a woman with a golf club stands on a table and tries to hit ping pong balls – launched by Tape Face from a hair dryer – into a tiny net at the end of a long stick held by another spectator.  Amazingly, she was successful after only a few tries.

It’s nearly impossible to guess what Tape Face has planned for his audience volunteers, but they all seem eager to share the stage with him. As the show announcer points out, if Tape Face points his flashlight at you, be sure to join him on the stage right away or you’ll be considered a “dork”.

Guests on VIP night included Mac King, Tenors of RockMurray Sawchuck, Douglas “Lefty” LeferovichMike Hammer, Kyle & Mistie Knight, the ladies of FANTASYBizaroNick Diffatte, Xavier Mortimer, Kevin Burke of Defending The CavemanPenny Wiggins, cast members of Marriage Can Be Murder and more.
