You’re probably thinking we went for the free cupcakes and ice cream, right? Well, they were delicious but we really came to see Adam perform another hilarious Laughternoon – a very family-friendly comedy magic show. Adam invited several members of the audience on stage to assist with tricks and they all had a great time – including me!

Comedy Magician Adam London has a knack for picking outgoing people from the audience and this young man was no exception. This was one of Adam's funniest routines.

Adam London’s show consists of non-stop tricks, jokes, gags and sound effects.  Las Vegas magicians often use a variety of stage props for dramatic or comedic effects but Adam’s favorite prop is a deck of cards. And of course, his trademark rubber duckies.  If you’re wondering how the rubber duckies fit in the show, I’ll give you an example. A spectator’s chosen (and signed) card somehow appeared in a ducky that a child had been holding throughout the show. I’m still scratching my head about that one.

Adam’s extraordinary sleight-of-hand and misdirection skills, as well as the rapid pacing of the show, make it nearly impossible to guess what he’ll be doing next. He fools the audience time after time and gets big laughs doing it. You get a solid hour of great entertainment from this guy!

At one point Adam tossed a deck of cards to someone in the audience. That person looked at a card and randomly tossed the deck to another person and so forth until four people (and four cards) were selected. As luck would have it, two of the four chosen people were entertainment columnists: my friend Judy Thorburn, who publishes the excellent LasVegasRoundTheClock.com, and myself. After naming all our chosen cards Adam brought us on stage. We had a great time as Adam encouraged us to lie to some of his questions. He used his mental abilities to correctly determine who was telling the truth.

I thought Judy and I did pretty well on stage until some kid threw a deck of cards in the air and got big laughs.

I think I’ll stick to publishing VegasNews.com.  — Bryan Eggers

The anniversary celebration also kicked off London’s “I Give A Duck” campaign, where proceeds from the show will be given to a different charity partner once a month for all of 2018. January 2018 was designated to Nevada Blind Children’s Foundation.

“It’s going to be a magical year. I’m happy to celebrate such a great milestone with the show while also being able to help support such a terrific charitable organization,” said London, Laughternoon’s creator, writer and performer. “I look forward to 11 more months of giving back to organizations that help out the children in our community.”

A portion of t-shirt sales throughout the year will also go to back to the different charity organizations and can be purchased at The Showroom at the D Casino Hotel.
