Maluma, Latin music’s youth idol who has been conquering Latin America with his sold-out concerts, will return to Las Vegas with a performance at Mandalay Bay Events Center Saturday, May 5, 2018.
At twenty-three years of age, Maluma is Latin music’s youth idol and one of the industry’s most important new voices. Born Juan Luis Londoño, he formulated his artistic moniker Maluma from the first two letters of the names of his mother, father and sister.
Maluma is one of social media’s most popular artists with over 23 million Facebook fans, 4.2 million Twitter followers, and a whopping 30 million Instagram followers (making him the leading Latin male artist on Instagram). His official YouTube/VEVO channel has garnered over 6 billion views and has more than 11 million subscribers.
With his Maluma World Tour he has achieved unparalleled success as an urban artist including selling out three consecutive nights at Argentina’s Luna Park and three sold out concerts at Mexico City’s Auditorio National – he recently closed a completely sold-out tour through Europe.
In 2015 he released his latest album Pretty Boy Dirty Boy under the Sony Music US Latin label which debuted at #1. In his first year and a half in the U.S. market Maluma garnered five #1 songs on Billboard’s Latin Airplay chart. He is the youngest artist to simultaneously hold both the #1 and #2 spots Billboard’s Latin Airplay chart (with “Sin Contrato” and “Chantaje”) and only the sixth act to ever achieve the feat.
He recently received an MTV European Music Award nomination for Best Artist Latin America Central and seven 2017 Latin GRAMMY nominations including three nods each on the “Song of the Year” and “Record of the Year” categories. Maluma is currently a coach on the new season of TV ratings leader La Voz Mexico.
