Lion King’s Alton White Presents Charity Benefit Concerts at Liberace Museum Dec. 4

Lion King's Alton WhiteAlton Fitzgerald White, starring in the role of Mufasa in Disney’s “Lion King” at Mandalay Bay, will present two charity benefit concerts on Friday, Dec. 4 at the intimate Cabaret Showroom at the Liberace Museum, 1775 E. Tropicana Avenue.  White is donating all proceeds from ticket sales to benefit the Cabaret Fund for the non-profit Liberace Foundation & Museum. Joining him in the concerts will be fellow “Lion King” Cast Members Monique L. Midgette and Derrick Davis, along with his musical director and pianist, “Jersey Boys” Conductor Keith Thompson.

Alton’s numerous other Broadway career credits include the national tour and Broadway production of “Lion King,” plus “Ragtime,” “Tommy,” “The Color Purple,” and “Miss Saigon” all on Broadway.

Concert show times will be at 8:00 p.m. and 10:30 p.m., and tickets are $20 in advance or $25 at the door. To buy tickets, call the Museum at 702-798-5595 ext. 14.

The Liberace Foundation & Museum’s Cabaret Fund was created this summer, and the inaugural Gala Concert produced by Broadway imports and “Jersey Boys” cast members Keith Thompson and Philip Fortenberry raised more than $15,000 for the preservation and technical development of the Museum’s Cabaret Showroom including lighting and sound equipment.
