Supporting financial literacy and academics programs for Southern Nevada’s at-risk students just became easier with Andson Inc’s Driving Education Golf Tournament, Tuesday, June 6, at Southern Highlands Golf Club, 1 Robert Trent Lane, Las Vegas. Registration begins at 7:00 a.m. and the shotgun start kicks off at 8:30 a.m.
The entry fee starts at $1,600 for a foursome ($450 for an individual golfer) and includes a 4-person scramble, cart, caddy and gratuity, breakfast, lunch, snacks, beverages, and awards reception following the scramble. The festivities include the annual Helicopter ball drop; for a $10 donation anyone can purchase a golf ball to be dropped out of a Maverick helicopter. Golf Balls can be purchased online (https://www.andson.org/shop/), over the phone or in person. The golf ball dropped closest to the pin comes with a cash prize. Corporate Sponsorships start at $2,000 and include a foursome and hole sign.
“Our Driving Education Golf Tournament is a fun way to promote the importance of financial literacy to children in our community,” said Sonia McTaggart Anderson, founder of Andson, Inc. “Through our core programs – Andson Academics, Andson Money and The Piggy Bank over 60,000 at risk students in Southern Nevvada have had access to financial literacy classes, homework help, tutoring and summer programs.”
