On Tuesday, Jan. 10, The Beatles LOVE celebrated its 5,000th performance at The Mirage in Las Vegas, where nearly eight million guests have marveled at the show’s supreme artistry since it opened in 2006 (Pictured: Senior Vice President Jerry Nadal – Photo courtesy of Cirque du Soleil).
In honor of the show’s milestone performance, Jerry Nadal, senior vice president, resident shows division at Cirque du Soleil, made a special appearance at the theater to thank the cast and creative team, Cirque’s partners at The Mirage and MGM Resorts International and The Beatles company, Apple Corps Ltd, for their continued support – congratulating the show with a champagne toast and gorgeous five-layer cake handmade by Tom Colicchio’s Heritage Steak. He then addressed the audience, praising them and the millions before them for being the most important contributors to the show’s success.

Celebrated worldwide as the most thrilling, vibrant and accurate tribute to The Beatles, LOVE recently celebrated its 10th anniversary, introducing exciting new acts, music, choreography, costumes, technology and more to the dazzling production. Since its beginning, the show has had 264 artists perform onstage including six original cast members who still perform with the show every night. The Volkswagen Beatle—famously seen during “Twist and Shout” and “Drive My Car”—has traveled 1,125 miles, while artists have applied 1.6 million eyelashes (!) throughout the 5,000 performances.
