Cannery Casino & Hotel welcomes the Classic Rock All Stars on Friday, November 6 and Saturday, November 7. Audiences are in for a rare treat with this band of legends that is comprised of original members from Iron Butterfly, Rare Earth, Sugarloaf and Johnny Rivers Band…legendary bands that have sold millions of albums over the years. Admission is just $10 at the door

Jerry Corbetta, founder, keyboardist and former lead singer of Sugarloaf. Besides the mega-hit “Green Eyed Lady,” the group found gold with “Don’t Call Us, We’ll Call You” in February 1975. Life after Sugarloaf was just as artistically lucrative for Jerry when he released a solo album for Warner Bros. In 1979, Jerry joined Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons but still had time to write hit songs Grace Jones and Belinda Carlisle.

Peter Rivera, former singer and drummer for Rare Earth, recorded over 17 albums, had top ten hits with “Get Ready” and “I Just Want to Celebrate” and the two-record set “Rare Earth in Concert” which went double platinum. “Willie Remembers” and “Ma” went gold. With Peter on the drums and at the mic on lead vocals, Rare Earth sold over twenty-five million records. Rivera has been called the premier rock drummer/vocalist of the 70s.

Mike Pinera, former lead singer and guitarist for Iron Butterfly and The Blues Image received his first gold record for The Blues Image’s “Ride Captain Ride” which he wrote and sang. After the Blues Image split he joined Iron Butterfly, the first group ever to be awarded a platinum album. Their legendary hit, “In A Gadda Da Vida” stayed on top of the charts for 56 consecutive weeks. Pinera Later went on to discover and produce Black Oak Arkansas, resulting in a gold album. He also toured with Alice Cooper and played on two of his albums.

Larry Prentiss hails from the Motown-era Detroit scene. He is a renowned studio musician, songwriter, and live performer who has toured with Johnny Rivers as well as written gold for artists such as Anita Baker.
