Sparky the Fire Dog, the official mascot of the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) hosted a fun, lively assembly at the James Clubhouse of Boys & Girls Clubs of Las Vegas to share basic, potentially life-saving fire safety tips with children in the community.

After the presentation, the kids helped Sparky celebrate his 65th birthday with cake kindly donated by Freed’s Bakery and a special tour of a fire truck from the North Las Vegas Fire Department.

Sparky is in town for NFPA’s Conference & Expo at Mandalay Bay, June 13 – 16, a comprehensive education event attended by fire protection and prevention professionals worldwide; NFPA is the leading information and knowledge resource on fire, electrical and related hazards.
