Renowned Chef Grant MacPherson, of Scotch Myst Global Food & Beverage Consulting, will offer a cooking demonstration showcasing some of his favorite dishes. The annual event benefits programming and community outreach initiatives for Vegas PBS.

Chef MacPherson’s stellar career has spanned five continents, four decades and many of the world’s most celebrated dining and hospitality destinations. He has cooked adventurous five-star menus, designed and run some of the most celebrated and excellent kitchens in the world, and built top-notch teams at iconic places such as Raffles Hotel in Singapore, Bellagio Las Vegas, Wynn Las Vegas, Wynn Macau, Regent Hotels Sydney, Four Seasons, Ritz Carlton Big Island and Sandy Lane Hotel in Barbados.

“This wine tasting event is our signature fundraiser and is a great opportunity to bring our continued supporters together to celebrate the success of Vegas PBS in the community as well as raise critical funds needed to support programming and outreach,” Southern Nevada Public Television Board President Bill Curran said.

Patrons may sample a wide variety of wines and beers from more than 60 wineries and breweries courtesy of Southern Wine and Spirits of Nevada. Festivities include entertainment by Woody Woods Jazz Combo, savory hors d’oeuvres, cooking demonstrations, a live auction and a silent auction. Auction items include a two-night stay at the Historic Sutter Home Victorian Inn, complete with a wine country breakfast, tour and tasting at the Napa Winery; four tickets to the Boyd Gaming 300 NASCAR Xfinity race in March; two tickets to Cirque du Soleil’s One Night for One Drop; and much more.

Sponsors for the event include Southern Wine and Spirits of Nevada, Bordeaux sponsor Cashman Equipment Company, Chardonnay sponsors Wells Fargo and NV Energy, Aperitif sponsors CenturyLink, United HealthCare, Marydean Martin and Charlie Silvestri and Audio Visual sponsor Encore Event Technologies.
