Fall is really here! How do we know? Not just by the calendar, the scores of fall recipes and everyone saying so: pears just got delicious again. These juicy fall fruits are one of the reasons we are willing to let go of our beloved Summer gazpacho every year (Pictured: The Honey Badger at Hearthstone).
Biting into a perfectly ripe pear is one of Fall’s greatest joys, and incorporating the incredibly versatile fruit into a cocktail will have you happily diving into the season.
The Honey Badger at Hearthstone, located near Las Vegas at the newly renovated Red Rock Resort in Summerlin, is an orchard-fresh cocktail that contains Bombay Sapphire East. It features ingredients from the classic French dessert, Belle Poire. By incorporating the poached pears and sugar syrup from the mouth-watering dish, the cocktail is elevated from merely delicious to spectacular. Shaken with freshly squeezed apple juice, lemon, and a drop of the aromatic, cardamom-infused honey: this cocktail is everything we love about Fall.
The Scorpino at Salute, which celebrated its Grand Opening at the Red Rock Resort just days ago, is another gorgeous Fall focused cocktail. Vodka can be as wild and dynamic as you let it, particularly when it comes to the flavored variety. That is what makes vodka so great: it is a spirit that deserves to be taken seriously, but is not afraid to have a little fun. The Scorpion features elegant Grey Goose Pear and brightens the subtle melon-like flavors with ginger, lemon and mint. To finish with a bit of whimsy, the cocktail is topped with a prosecco float and a refreshing dollop of lemon sorbet.
