At The Orleans Hotel and Casino on Saturday (Sept. 1), Australian soft rock duo Air Supply performed the 5,000th show of their more than 40-year musical career.

To commemorate the special occasion, representatives with The Orleans joined Air Supply members Graham Russell and Russell Hitchcock for a cake and champagne celebration before the show. Air Supply has been performing at The Orleans in Las Vegas for 22 years and continued the tradition by entertaining audiences this Labor Day weekend, Aug. 31-Sept. 2.

Formed in 1975, Air Supply has received numerous recognitions as one of the most celebrated soft rock groups in music history. In 2008, the duo was named No. 83 on Billboard’s Top-100 musical acts of all time. Air Supply was also inducted into The Australian Recording Industry Association Hall of Fame in 2013.
