Donors did a double-take today when they dropped off items at the Fort Apache & Flamingo Goodwill Store & Donation Drive-Thru. That’s because the donation ambassador receiving their spring cleaning donations, looked a lot like music legend and Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler.
“Steven Tyler” Tribute Artist Chris VanDahl of Legends in Concert at Flamingo Las Vegas surprised donors today, Friday, April 17 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
VanDahl was there to help kick off “spring cleaning” season for the nonprofit and remind people to clean out their closets, cabinets and bookshelves and donate to Goodwill. In addition to donation receipts, he also provided vouchers offering locals $9.95 show tickets – the same price tickets were in 1983 when “Legends in Concert” debuted.
As a thank you to Goodwill’s donation ambassadors for all their hard work, “Legends in Concert” donated concert tickets to all of them.
“Legends in Concert” at Flamingo Las Vegas recently won Best Tribute Show in the Las Vegas Review-Journal’s Best of Las Vegas poll. Legends is currently offering all Las Vegas locals $9.95 show tickets – the same price tickets were in 1983 when “Legends in Concert” debuted.
Donations to Goodwill are critical as the sale of donated items in Goodwill stores funds the nonprofit’s life changing job placement and training programs. Last year, Goodwill of Southern Nevada helped more than 2,300 people find employment at a variety of businesses.
