Hop into Spring’s Hottest Beauty Trends as Predicted by Celebrity Colorist Michael Boychuck
Fashionistas can get ready to shed their winter beauty trends and jump into spring’s hottest styles with looks suggested by colorist to the stars, Michael Boychuck (Pictured: Spring Beauty Trends modeled by Ann Estrella – Photo credit: Jeff Ragazzo)

Boychuck believes that any great style for the warmer season starts with a bright, lush color. Spring is the perfect time of year to lighten-up dull winter hair with sunny blonde colored hues or light caramel tones. For brunette hair, the addition of light caramels, like Boychuck recently colored on Miss USA Nia Sanchez for her Miss Universe debut, are great for adding a shine depth to darker hair. Blondes looking to spice up their honey locks can rely on adding sandy blonde highlights to add more depth without looking too blonde.

“This winter’s hair was full of dark colored hues and deep side parts,” Boychuck said. “For the spring season, we can anticipate laid-back braided styles, loosely structured ponytails and brightly colored hues. These styles look effortless, yet chic, and can be perfect for a day at the office or a fun night out on the town.”

The owner of COLOR Salon at Caesars Palace and partner of LifeSpa + Salon at Life Time Fitness in Summerlin and Green Valley says these spring styles are playful and casually chic with just the right amount of elegance. With these simple styles, there are unlimited possibilities to change it up for any occasion. For the office, keep it simple with a loosely structured ponytail positioned to one side of the shoulder. This look can also be accompanied by volume to obtain an ultra-chic look. For the weekend, mix it up with a laid-back braided style, such as a braided bun.

With the warm and sunny months quickly approaching, Boychuck emphasizes the importance of using color protecting products. The summer sun and constant contact of chlorine can be very damaging, wrecking hair’s texture. To help keep hair looking fresh, healthy and protected from the heat, the hair master recommends applying Kérastase and Goldwell products, which can be found at all three of his salons.

Boychuck says that light pastel-colored shades are the beauty trends to watch this season. Whether it’s makeup or nails, this trend has been a hot style on the runway. Light lavender will be the eye shadow color of choice this season, with bronze sun-kissed skin to match the bright and sunny hair colors of the spring months. As for nail colors, green and blue pastel-colored palettes such as seafoam green and misty blue will set the tone for the season.
