The Viva Las Vegas Rockabilly Weekend, in it’s 18th year, is an annual 4-day music festival that takes place Easter weekend, Thursday, April 2 – Sunday, April 5  (Pictured: “The Contender,” Nick Kallos‘ World-Famous 1929 Ford Model A Roadster)

VLV has grown to be the largest event of its type in the world, featuring bands and fans from all over the globe who come to experience Rockabilly & Original 50s Music, a Classic Car Show, Burlesque Competition, Vintage Fashion Show, Dance Lessons and Competition, Tiki Pool Parties, swimsuit contests, Burlesque Bingo, Pin-Up Beauty Academy, Pin-Up Contest, over 120 Vendors, a Bowling event, Sailor Jerry Tattoo Lounge and more. VLV attracts the most eye-catching, stylish, head-turning people you could ever see in one place.

Over 65 bands will perform, including: Dion, The Sonics, Levi & The Rockats, Furious, Marti Brom, The Chop Tops, 20+ rockabilly DJs performing nightly between 1pm-7am. The performers also include Original 50s Stars of Rockabilly, legends of Rock ‘n Roll and Doo Wop, and current rockabilly bands from all over the world.

Events are held in 6 different music venues in The Orleans Hotel and Casino (4500 West Tropicana Avenue). VLV has grown from the first year’s 1,200 people in attendance, to selling out in advance 4 years in a row, with over 7,000 attending the 4-day festival and 20,000 for the Saturday Car Show. VLV event has sold out in advance for the last few years, so attendees are encouraged to purchase tickets early. Price of a 4-day pass is $125 if purchased before March 12, 2015, if not sold out, then $140 beginning March 13, 2015.

Vendors are open daily, offering anything related to the scene: Vintage and reproduction clothing, event merchandise, records, CD’s, car accessories, bags, hair pomade, shoes, hats, posters, stickers, and more. For opening times and list of vendors, visit

This year’s car show will have 5 bands including: Dion, The Sonics and Kitty, Daisy & Lewis. Tickets for the Saturday car show only can be purchased for $30 in advance and at the parking lot entrance the day of the event. This ticket will allow anyone without a 4-day VLV wristband to visit the Car Show area on Saturday only. This includes all entertainment in the Car Show area. Kids up to 15 free.
