Recording a season-high sixth win in a row, the Las Vegas Wranglers won 4-1 over the Bakersfield Condors last night.
Only 72 seconds into the first, Wranglers center Eric Lampe recorded his 18th goal of the season for a quick 1-0 lead. Bakersfield turned around and evened the game on a goal from forward Jacob Lagace, making it a 1-1 game just 2:30 into the period. Wranglers right wing Sean Wiles regained the one-goal lead four minutes later, and a second goal from Lampe gave Las Vegas the 3-1 advantage at the end of 20 minutes.
Five minutes into the second, Wranglers left wing Adam Huxley posted a goal, his third of the season, for a 4-1 score. Bakersfield outshot Las Vegas 11-6 through the second and 14-8 in the third, but the Wranglers skated with the 4-1 victory on 29 total shots. Wranglers goaltender Joe Fallon stopped 31 of 32 Condors shots in the team’s second road win in a row.
