Holidaying in Las Vegas

January 18, 2013 by

When it comes to a holiday to Las Vegas you are spoilt for choice as soon as you step off the plane; it’s truly an adult’s playground with too much to see and do in just one trip. Where else in the world can you wander from a medieval jousting tournament, to Ancient Rome and straight to the canals of Venice, all in one night? The options can be overwhelming, but with a little bit of planning you’ll have a fun-filled jam-packed holiday in Sin City.

There are plenty of things to do on The Strip, and it’s worth checking out a few guides before you go. There really is something for everyone. Rock n Roll Fantasy Camp at the MGM Grand, the Blue Man Group and the popular Cirque de Soleil shows are just the tip of the iceberg. Maybe you fancy taking a peek at artifacts from the Titanic at the Luxor, or just fancy watching the popular fountain show outside the Bellagio. For something more off the beaten track, why not go on a drive to the Neon Museum, where the neon signs from old casinos are kept; it’s an illuminating look into the Vegas history.

Many of the hotels on The Strip have their own unique and elaborate theme, such as Caesar’s Palace and Circus Circus. Each one offers its own attractions, restaurants and entertainments as well as gaming areas and casinos. New York New York is deemed one of the best, and features a replica Statue of Liberty alongside many other famous landmarks of the Big Apple in its architecture. As well as a Times Square bar and a New York pizzeria, you can travel through the hotel on a rollercoaster.

It’s not uncommon to also find themed slot games in the casinos. Paris Las Vegas’ high limit slots area is modelled on an exclusive Parisian courtyard, whilst the casino in the Egyptian-themed Luxor is decorated with hieroglyphs. You’ll also find slots themed around your favourite movies and TV shows, like Sex and the City or The Hangover, in many of the casinos. For a little taste of the Vegas action before you get there, Ladbrokes has a variety of themed slots for you to practice on in the comfort of your own home.

Whether you’re there for the sights, the sounds, the casino or the party, no matter what you’re looking for, you’re sure to find it in Las Vegas.
