The Vegas experience starts once you are on board the train. The X Train will travel through mountain passes, historic stations and high desert scenery unsurpassed anywhere else in the world.  Trains will travel from Fullerton, California to Downtown Las Vegas.  Train operations are scheduled to begin in late 2013.

No gambling is permitted under state law and by the railroads but there are plans to offer tournaments for points and prizes sponsored by the casinos.

The introductory price point of $99 each way (Vegas class food & beverage included) is designed to stimulate demand against the cost of driving to and from Las Vegas and is comparable to the costs of driving.

The Las Vegas X Train has begun work with award winning engineering firm, Walker Engineering, LLC for the development of their Las Vegas station. The local firm is a woman-owned engineering firm headed by President Jody Walker Belsick, P.E., MBA, LEED AP. The well established firm lists among its previous projects: The Rainbow Sunset Pavilion, Cimarron Square and CDW at Logisticenter.

Walker Engineering’s responsibilities for the development of the X Train’s Las Vegas Station include: planning, due diligence, surveying, demolition plans, civil engineering plans and civil permitting. “Getting the development process underway is an exciting milestone and we couldn’t be happier with the quality of engineering firm we have selected,” says Michael Barron, President/CEO of the X Train. “Jody and her team’s accomplishments speak volumes about the firm’s abilities and we know we have the right partners on board.”

X Train has also hired Success City Online to manage the company’s social media and PR efforts. Success City Online provides direct reach web services, social media management, public relations, and radio and video media that help businesses reach and influence people interested in their products. Las Vegas-based Success City Online will be directing these multi media outlets for The X Train.

Las Vegas Railway Express, Inc. has been planning for the establishment of a “Vegas Class” passenger train service between Los Angeles and Las Vegas since early 2009. Service departures are planned to be Thursday and Friday to Las Vegas with returns on Sunday back to Los Angeles. An introductory price of $99 each way includes Vegas Class accommodation and all-inclusive food & beverage. In addition, the “X” Train will also offer the ability for its passengers to book hotel rooms, transportation transfers, entertainment & show tickets and other travel incidentals.
