Multi-Platinum Trio Wilson Phillips to Perform at The Cannery Casino

Wilson Phillips, the pop trio whose incredible harmony propelled the group to multi-Platinum status will perform at The Club inside The Cannery Casino & Hotel on June 4, 2011.  

Wilson Phillips includes members Carnie Wilson, Wendy Wilson and Chynna Phillips. Their debut album in 1990 achieved unparalleled success, selling ten million albums with three #1 hits including “Hold On,” “Release Me” and “You’re In Love.” In 1992, Billboard declared the group the best selling female group of all time, breaking the record previously set by The Supremes.

Along with the hits, came the awards and nominations. Wilson Phillips received Billboard Music Award’s “Hot 100 Single of the Year” for “Hold On” in 1990. The group was honored with multiple Grammy Award nominations for Song of the Year, Album of the Year and Best New Artist.

• Carnie Wilson is the daughter of legendary Beach Boy founder Brian Wilson. In addition to singing and songwriting, Wilson’s career includes acting, author, TV host and mother.
• Chynna Phillips is the daughter of John and Michelle Phillips of the Mamas and Papas. She began her career in acting with performances in Some Kind of Wonderful, Caddyshack II, Say Anything andRoxanne: The Prize Pulitzer. She continues to write and record music.
• Wendy Wilson is also the daughter of Beach Boy founder Brian Wilson. She and her sister Carnie released the CD “Hey, Santa!” a collection of classic and original Christmas songs. Wilson also performed in the Beach Boys Family and Friends tour for 3 years.
