On Sunday, March 13, Executive Chef Barry S. Dakake brought the heat with a perfect pitch right down the middle of home plate in front of a roaring crowd of more than 11,000 Dodgers and Cubs fans. Players, managers and coaches were gracious enough to pose for pictures and sign autographs for fans including Dakake. Mingling with Alfonso Soriano, outfielder for the Chicago Cubs, Kosuke Fukudome, outfielder for the Chicago Cubs and Don Mattingly, the new skipper for the Los Angeles Dodgers, Dakake invited them to dine at N9NE Steakhouse next time they were in Las Vegas.
