Big Winners Announced at 2010 Fighters Only World Mixed Martial Arts Awards

The 3rd annual Fighters Only World Mixed Martial Arts Awards took place inside The Pearl at the Palms Casino Resort on Wednesday night (Pictured above: Annie Stanley and Randy Couture - Photo: © Erik Kabik/ RETNA/ www.erikkabik.com).
The show, which was hosted by actor and UFC legend Randy Couture and included a performance by Las Vegas headliners Recycled Percussion, featured awards from 20 categories that celebrated all that is MMA.

Awards included Best Promotion of the Year (winner – UFC), Breakthrough Fighter of the Year (winner – Jon “Bones” Jones) and Fighter of the Year (winner – Jose Aldo).
Celebrity fans including Steve-O, Tom Sizemore, Tila Tequila, Jonathan Lipnicki, Karina Smirnoff, Brad Penny, Jerry Rice and Mike Epps also showed their support by attending and presenting awards alongside industry leaders. Fans and winners then celebrated with an after party at Palms’ Playboy Club which was hosted by Ring Girl of the Year winner for two years in a row, Arianny Celeste.

For those who missed the live action, the Fighters Only World Mixed Martial Arts Awards will air on sports-focused network Versus (channel 38 on Cox Communications) Thursday, Dec. 9 at 7 p.m. PST/10 p.m. EST.
Fighters Only will continue to bring fans unique access to fighters in the world of MMA when they launch their new iPad app which will debut in January and feature in-depth coverage of the awards show.
